Patio Party for a Purpose brings people together for an unforgettable evening of food, music, friendship, and fundraising—all in support of Dayton Children’s Hospital. This year’s event was hosted by TWIG 33 at Heather’s Cafe in Springboro on September 28, 2026. This annual event combines the fun of a night out with the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and their families.

Thanks to the extraordinary generosity of our community, this year’s Patio Party for a Purpose raised approximately $34,000, allowing TWIG 33 to donate $29,000 directly to Dayton Children’s Hospital from this single event!

This remarkable accomplishment reflects the power of people coming together for a shared purpose. Every sponsorship, ticket purchased, auction bid, raffle entry, and donation helped make this possible. We are incredibly proud of what our community accomplished together and grateful to everyone who played a part in making a difference for children and their families.

A Night of Community and Generosity

This year’s event was made possible by the incredible generosity of our sponsors, local businesses, donors, and attendees. We were especially grateful to Heather’s Cafe, our presenting sponsor, for helping make the evening a success and providing wonderful catering for our guests.

We were thrilled to welcome several of our sponsors in person! Their presence and enthusiasm were a wonderful reminder that Patio Party for a Purpose is about more than fundraising—it is about bringing our community together around a shared commitment to helping children.

Live music from Until Rust & Friends provided the perfect soundtrack for the evening. Their incredible talent, energy, and generosity made the event extra special. We are so grateful that they donated their time and talent to support our cause!

We are also thankful for the support of fellow TWIG groups who came together to help make this event a success. A special thank-you to TWIG 11, along with the other TWIG groups that supported our efforts. The encouragement and generosity of our fellow volunteers are a wonderful example of the strength of the TWIGS community and our shared commitment to Dayton Children’s Hospital.

Fun Ways to Give Back

From exciting auction items to unique opportunities to support local businesses, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

Silent Auction: Approximately 15 themed baskets offered guests the opportunity to bid on an assortment of wonderful items and experiences.

Basket Raffle: Around 10 additional baskets gave attendees even more chances to win while supporting a great cause.

Dine-O-Rama: One of the evening’s most popular attractions featured more than 100 envelopes, each containing at least $25 in gift certificates to local restaurants. For a $20 donation per envelope, guests could take home a little taste of the Miami Valley while supporting a great cause. It was a win-win for our supporters and the local businesses that generously contributed!

50/50 Raffle: Winner Ryan Sullivan of Collette Roofing & Restoration donated his winnings back to the cause. Thank you!

Every basket donated, gift certificate contributed, sponsorship provided, and envelope purchased helped make this event possible.

Making a Difference Together

At the heart of Patio Party for a Purpose is a simple but powerful mission: bringing people together to support the health and well-being of children in our community.

Donating $29,000 to Dayton Children’s Hospital from a single event is an accomplishment worth celebrating. It would not have been possible without the generosity of our presenting sponsor, event sponsors, local restaurant partners, basket donors, attendees, fellow TWIG groups, and dedicated TWIG 33 Co-Chairs Debbie Ball and Cindy Metro and TWIG 33 volunteers.
